Sometimes in the podcast I begin with something in the news and I talk about a Supreme

Court decision or a Trump policy or something going on with the Democrats. But it's also helpful

from time to time to take a bit of a step back and kind of look at our world in the big picture

and try to understand what is going on.

I'm provoked to do this in part by some conversations I had with a group of young conservatives

in Brazil. I mentioned yesterday that I was there just for a few days in San Paulo,

Sao Paulo, I think is the way they put it.

Very interesting place, by the way.

Very cosmopolitan, really good food.

In certain parts, a little dangerous, but that is to be expected because Brazil has these slums or favelas.
