I was the person to call.

So if you were pregnant and he wanted an abortion, he called me.

My heart has been saddened and sickened over the last couple of months as a new law went into effect in New York, allowing abortions in the third trimester of pregnancy all the way up to moments before birth.

Abortion is a tragedy anytime, but the idea of taking the life of a fully formed baby right before the point of birth is a visceral reminder of how deep of a tragedy this really is.
