reflect with Father Robert Barron on the Word of God, which is the Word on fire.

Father Barron will challenge us to open our hearts to the Word on fire, which is God's

Word of Love for each of us.

If our hearts are open, the Lord can change and transform us, who we might speak with

love about the one who is love.

The Archdiocese of Chicago through the generosity of Sacred Heart Parish and Winetka now presents

the Word on fire.

Peace be with you, friends, what a privilege we have this week.

We hear from the Gospel of Matthew the Beatitudes, the beginning of the sermon on the Mount, one

of the most beautiful and important sections of the Gospel of Matthew.

Jesus laying out for us, his spiritual program.

In some ways, this section of Matthew, these chapters 5, 6, 7, probably summarize his preaching

when he would make his way around to these various towns and villages.

This is probably the kind of thing he would say.

It's all summed up here now in the sermon and the Mount.

When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on the mountainside.

All of that is symbolically charged.
