the former head of live political programs at the BBC, who's written a very, very entertaining

punchy insightful entrawling book, even called Why is this lying bastard lying to me?

Natural writer, I have to say, I was a bit as an author. I'm always slightly jealous when someone

who's, you know, you're, that wasn't your, I mean, you do have a background in the media,

but you've written your first book and it is a very pacy read. Congrats. Thank you. Yes.

Well, I didn't want it to be boring, I mean, because, you know, the danger is people see

a book about politics and they think, oh, God, we've, you know, that sounds a bit dull or a bit heavy

or a bit of a bit of work or, or buy it and it will sit on the bookshelf and it won't actually be,

be, um, be read. So I tried to make it a few things, really. I sort of peek behind the scenes,

which is always fun for people, understanding how we do those, that these things, how, you know,

what goes on, but also a few jokes now and again, and, and a story and a narrative to try and kind

of hook people in and it covers a lot of stuff, a lot of ground. But I'm really pleased to hear

you say that because that was the intention exactly. So it's really because obviously you've always

had this passion clearly about politics and about what you could call the political interview.

And, you know, obviously you, just so people aware, a lot of shows people would have watched,

like Ma, uh, Andrew Ma obviously presented the, that on Sunday, uh, you've had Andrew Niels

various programs, uh, like daily politics, um, politics live, all these sorts of shows, obviously,

that was your bread and butter. Yes. Now, for those, you know, I'm a, I'm a geriatric millennial. Brian
