Who are you? What is life all about? What brings happiness? What is true success? What is love? Who is God? these are some of the most fundamental questions in life and

yet the secular world is doing everything it can to get you to look at these things a certain way, while Jesus

Christ offers a very different view. Which one will you adopt? How do you make sure you're

not conformed to the secular world and that you are a true

disciple of Jesus in our secular age. That's what we're going to be looking at in

today's podcast. I want to talk about the battle for your mind. And here my friends I'm reminded of what the early

Christians would have gone through. I mean think about this if you were a Christian

in pagan Rome what you would have to face, what you would have been up against.

I mean, imagine you grew up in a pagan family, you had pagan friends, you lived a pagan lifestyle,

and then one day you hear the preaching of Peter and Paul, you're inspired, and you're motivated by the witness of the Christians you're meeting, and you decide to become baptized and become a Christian and live the Christian life.

And now all of your friends and family are looking at you and saying you're weird.

How come you're not coming with us to those parties anymore?

How come you're living a chased life now and you don't want to come to the Coliseum for all these fun

entertainments anymore you know you wouldn't get a lot of support from your family and

friends likely if you were a Christian in pagan Rome. Do you ever feel that way today?

You want to live your Catholic faith to the fullest.

And sometimes you've got friends and family

and coworkers that look at you like, wow, he's strange,

or how come you're, you've changed, how can you not like you used to be?

And you don't get a lot of support and encouragement from your employer, from your secular world,

from Hollywood. It's just that there's not a lot of encouragement for
