The battle for Mosul, How long will it last?

Hello again, I'm Armin Al-Ni, and this is To the Point. It's an army of Iraqis who don't like each other, Kurds, Sunnis and Shiites, advancing on the last urban stronghold of the Islamic State in Iraq.

Nobody knows how long it will take, if they can hold it together, with U.S. troops helping them

on the ground and air cover from American planes. There already are warnings about what ISIS will do

next. If and when Mosul falls, history shows ISIS could reestablish itself in the desert.

There's a real prospect of terror attacks in the U.S. and especially in Europe.

In the meantime, a million people are faced with being human shields or refugees.
