Hello, my name is Greg Cable, and David has graciously offered his airspace

to present my podcast, The Nations of Canada.

The goal of the podcast is to tell the story of the part of North America

that would eventually become Canada, my native country.

The title, The Nations of Canada, highlights one of the major themes,

the diversity of peoples that have played a role in Canada's history.

So far, about a year and a half into the show,

we've met Iroquois corn farmers and Scandinavian explorers,

watched Inuit and Bask Whalers trade hunting tips,

followed French Jesuits as they studied the political and social institutions of the Wendet people,

and most recently, how the British learn to rule over newly conquered French Catholic subjects,

a key learning process in their emerging global empire,

destined to be inhabited by a wide range of peoples.
