Red Sox's 6-2 win over the A's in the series finale at Fenway Park, a game that admittedly was difficult to pay attention to, what with my duties on the Felger and Mads show. But what you really need to know is it was another solid start for Drew Pomeranz, who threw six innings, one run ball. He's now 16 and 5 on the season. Who the hell saw that coming? And for better or worse, solidifying his role as the second starter come playoff time.

I know I want that, but another solid star for Drew Pomeran, so we can feel good about that.

It was also a good day for Andrew Bennett-Tendee, who had three hits and drove in three runs in the win. Again, 6-2 is the final Red Sox over the A's.

And it's kind of sneaky, important win, I feel like, too,

because it means the Red Sox take their second straight series,

and they're guaranteed a lead of at least three games in the ALE East, depending on what happens

with the Yankees and in Baltimore tonight.
