985 the sports hub we have some depth in the bullpen it's one. We have some guys coming back. Tyler Thornberg's very close to coming back. I don't know the exact date. He'll be back. Austin Maddox continues to make progress coming back. We just got Stephen Wright. We don't think Hector Velasquez will be out very long. So we have some depth in that area. but Carson Smith's a good pitcher, and you never

like to lose somebody like him by any means.

That's Dave Nebraska little over a month ago talking about the Red Sox bullpen and the Carson

Smith injury. Remember, we all thought the Red Sox had a suspect bullpen then. We thought

they had a suspect bullpen before the Carson Smith injury,

let alone after and Smith is done for the year. Nonetheless, the reason I bring all that up now,

the dominoes are starting to fall in the MLB trade deadline. The dominoes are starting to fall.

And the first one was a big one. And so before I get to the particulars, let me ask you this.

As a Red Sox follower, what do you want them to do with the deadline?

What do you want them to do?

What do you deem to be the greatest need for this team?

And what do you want them to do between now and July 31st?

Because again, the championship or a championship is the objective.

That's the goal.
