This is the movement of the Holy Family.

Welcome to our daily rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Now as we're preparing for Christmas and also preparing to consecrate ourselves to Mary on January 1st,

we're immersing ourselves in different events of the life of Jesus.

Today, his baptism.

At the end of the baptism of Jesus, a voice from heaven was heard saying,

This is my beloved son with whom I am well

pleased. God the Father loves his son, not because of anything the son is done. In fact, the baptism is

the very beginning of his public ministry. He hasn't really done much yet. However, the father

expresses his delight in his son because he wants his son to exist, and he thinks the son makes the

world a better place just by being in it. That is precisely what the love of God means.

Whatever God wants to exist, he also delights in it.

He approves of it.

If he did not, then it would not exist.

It's that simple.
