Imagine you're five years old and your shoes are squeaking against the sleek, shiny floor of a basketball court.

You're playing in a game for your local league, and as you hustle down the court, you spot your grandparents and your brothers cheering for you in the stands.

You almost pause to give them a smile and a wave, but then you remember, you have the basketball,

and you're almost close enough to the basket to score.

You plant your feet to shoot the ball when suddenly one of the bigger and taller players

on the other team slams the ball right out of your hands.

Before you can even register what just happened,

the kid dribbles the ball away, laughing and shaking his head.

You play like a girl.
