I don't know what you may be thinking.

You might be thinking similar to me. This was maybe just a little light on plot this week.

But I was giving it a lot of thought this morning and there are a couple of big themes that are sort of...

I've been percolating sort of under the surface for the length of this whole series so far but are really pronounced.

And dare we talk about them? I think we should because I don't know. They may ruffle some feathers a little bit here and there but let's do it.

If the show that we are all gathered to watch and discuss, if we're all viewing the same show then we may have very similar takeaways.

Always a pleasure, always a thrill to break down these episodes and we are. It seems as though we're nearing the home stretch, perhaps three or just three or four more weeks to go.

And we will be at the end of this season and hopefully not this series. Though yet we have heard nothing about a season two.

Not even rumors really. I don't think I've heard any rumors but if there's one guy that may have heard some rumors, some rumblings might have some source, some intel. It's my good friend and yours from Chicago Jimmy Mac.

Hey Jason, hey Star Wars fans. No, nothing to report here. Nothing to see here. Move along, move along. I don't I don't have any indication about a future for this show.

A second season. It seems to me like they were creating something rather self contained. And how far can we really even go with these characters seems like I hate to get to critical right out of the gate but seems like they're kind of sputtering at this point seems like the series is meandering a little bit.

It's just for that. I like that. You know, I mean, I find I still find the characters and the chemistry among the characters as good as ever. I still find Omega to be endearing. I find the rise of imperial oppression throughout the galaxy to be compelling.

But I fear the show has been playing it too safe as we've gone through these middle chapters. It seems like a lot of the things that were set up rather well in the first third of the season have been kind of forgotten things like the Caminoans darken himself.

And just the rivalry between bad batch and crosshair. I mean, you got a little bit of that. Yes, it seems you've gotten a shot in the arm at the end of this episode setting up.

Right.
