God, the creator of the universe, looks a lot less like the creator and a lot more like a character,

a character that people invented, a petulant Bronze Age character, he has a hungry ego, wide swinging

emotions, gets angry, regrets things, demands praise, plays favorites, and hands-down rules that

look suspiciously like ancient Bronze Age human practices. Practices that need

explained away by modern metaphorical interpretations, the God that is infinitely more concerned

with the virginity of women than with freeing slaves, a God that can only have been invented

by ancient men with deep insecurities about their manhood. That's not what an infinite cosmic mind would look like.

That's what humans look like when they project themselves into the sky.

Gods didn't create humans in their image.

Humans created gods in theirs.
