The God of the Bible is said to be good and just in all of his ways.

Deuteronomy 32.4 says, his works are perfect. All of his ways are just. A faithful God without

deceit, just and upright is he. Yet the same God punishes people for crimes they never committed.

All women are punished to have painful childbirth because of Eve's sin,

causing a biological change that results in many women dying from childbirth or the babies

themselves not surviving the process. He punished humanity with natural disasters that kill people

at random to the tune of 100,000 people a year, all for the sin of Adam,

a sin that they didn't even know was wrong to commit since they had no knowledge of good or

evil yet. Moreover, he punishes babies for the crimes of their parents, killing all of the

Egyptian firstborn merely to show off how powerful he is. He even brags about it in Exodus

chapter 10 through 11 saying

that this was all happening in order that my wonders might be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

Moreover, he just tells you outright that he punishes children for the sins of the parents in

Exodus 34-7, stating that he visits the iniquity of the parents upon the children and

the children's children into the third upon the children and the children's children

into the third and the fourth generation. Yet in spite of all this, while children are dying of

bone cancer at St. Jude and earthquakes are killing people in Myanmar, believers are still chanting

that God is good and good all the time. But my question for believers is,

how do you account for a creator that is all powerful, all good, all knowing,

yet needlessly and purposefully causes people to suffer?
