Seuss was a respected author, but his logic is just all wrong in many cases.

He's quoted as saying, Christianity, if false, is of no importance,

but if true, of infinite importance.

First off, you could say that about any religious claim

that if it's true, then that would be important.

However, it's not the case that if it is false,

that it is of a false importance.

If it is false that is of a false importance. If it is false then the LGBT community is being discriminated against for no reason.

If it is false, people are giving their hard-earned money to the church for nothing.

None of this tells us whether or not Christianity is true though.
