The Associated Press poll is out and it is wrong.

Well, I mean, the preseason poll is always going to be wrong because 18 to 22 year olds tend to be a fairly unpredictable lot.

And when you're trying to predict how that many of them will finish in order,

it's pretty much a fool's errand.

So yeah, it's going to be wrong.

But we're still going to imagine what it's going to look like if they got it right,

if they were predicting the college football playoff final ranking because it's just fun

to put the teams in a bracket. So we threw them in a bracket. Look at this. You got Penn State

going to Tuscaloosa in round one. You have Michigan going to Austin to play Texas. Now, this is a weird one. This is

interesting because this is something that could happen. Remember, Texas plays at Michigan

in week two this year. In the AP poll, Texas is ranked sixth, Michigan's ranked 11th.

The way it would shake out, well, I'm sorry, Texas is ranked fourth, Michigan is ranked ninth.

They would wind up being the number six and the number 11 seeds in the playoff because of the way the playoff rules work.

And so they'd end up playing each other.

But in Austin this time, and that'd be fun.

You have a rematch of the Byron Hout-Legart Blunt Bowl.

In the 12-5 game, Boise State going to Eugene.

Now, the original Legerat-Bunt- Blunt Byron Hout game took place on the

blue in Boise. It was Chip Kelly's first game as Oregon's head coach and Boise State won it,

but a little fascinating piece of history there, if that's how it wound up shaking out.
