Sue Ann Pien and Albert Rutecki join their cast mate and our host, Rick Glassman, for a fascinating conversation about their show, growing up on the autism spectrum, and learning to navigate life, and the entertainment industry.
Rick enquires about their Amazon audition process, how they came to be actors, and what Albert said to Elizabeth Warren on his recent trip to Los Angeles. Sue Ann shares some vulnerabilities and how shooting the show helped her connect better with her family. All the while, Albert’s sunglass-ed alter ego comes out to play.
"Daddy" Rick shares some "unwritten rules" he’s compiled as a sort of cheatsheet for making your way through the world-- especially if you’re neuro-divergent.
Albert confesses to some struggles of his own as they all bond over strategies and tools that they’ve learnt from being on the spectrum, and having to navigate a neuro-typical world.
