And I'm Antonia Dodge. When I was a kid, I actually had all four of my grandparents in my life,

until my early 30s actually.

Three of my grandparents passed away at the time this recording,

one of my grandmothers is still alive.

But one of my grandfathers, I was really close to all of my grandparents,

but I was really close to one of my grandfathers But I was really close to one of my grandfathers,

he lived next door to us growing up.

And he was one of the most giving people I have ever met in my entire life.

He would often give strangers things,

he would give family members, acquaintances things,

often money or resource.

He would give, he owns some property at one time,

would give people that were in a hard way,

free rent certain months when they were renting from him,

living in the property he owned.

He was just very generous as a person.

And when I was a kid, he would often give me things, he would hand me maybe $20 here or there at age of like 11 or 12 and I

really had a hard time accepting things that he would give me in my life and

I remember telling my parents that I used to tell my mom and be like

you know my grandfather wants to give me this I feel weird taking it I feel like I'm taking a

resource from him I'm hurting him by taking and she said Joel you don't realize that your grandfather, it's a blessing for him to give. It's something that is something he expresses love through doing. And by you receiving, it's allowing him to express his love to you by receiving well, being a good
