Team. You're here with your host Tim Stillman for this week's episode and I say this week's

episode rather than this month's episode because we're going to have two episodes this

month. That's right and that's why I'm going with a slightly cold intro because we had

two guests that we're recording this month and I didn't know at the time of recording

the first guest who you'll hear from presently whether that was going to form one podcast,

one kind of bumper edition or whether we were going to do two and as it happens I spoke

to both Max Jones and Aiden Small from Arsenal.com earlier today and that interview was frankly

was fabulous, was really, really interesting, really insightful about kind of the social

media strategy behind the Arsenal Women's Team from Arsenal's point of view. The online

content, procuring kind of accurate historical data about the women's team, that's a big

issue in women's sport, not just women's football really, the kind of the lack of archiving

in history because up until recently women's sport just kind of happened and nobody was

really keeping track of what was happening. And so in terms of Arsenal Women for example,

you've got all these players who've had hundreds and hundreds of appearances and nobody

was really tracking it or kind of keeping it all. And so you'll hear from Max Jones

from Arsenal.com who has given the wonderful job of rectifying that a couple of years ago

and it's an ongoing project but and we had a good discussion about how that data informs

the content kind of having a house style, how the content on Arsenal.com has changed

because this season for example for the first time pretty much all the Arsenal women games

are viewable online now which is a big big step change for the WSL whereas you know
