Welcome back in to another edition of the Arrowhead Pride Report. I am Stephen Certa. It is Monday January 1st and the Kansas City Chiefs have clenched their 8th straight AFC West Division title,

clinching a playoff birth that felt a little hairy at times.

So let me welcome in the leader of Arrowhead Pride,

Pete Sweeney.

Sweenin, I think for the first time in what feels like the entire season for the Kansas City Chiefs.

They have a second half performance that feels like a legitimate playoff game and a fantastic win over the Cincinnati

bangles in week 17. 25 to 17 is the final score is they eliminate Cincinnati from playoff contention this season.

Yeah, still I think some room, some improvement to be desired on offense, but at the end of the day they got the job done and I think they are going to use the off season to improve in that regard but I think Sunday was important because it showed you that they can still manage to win one of these

grind it out games where the other team is playing well, right?

And the Bengals were teetering along that playoff bubble. I think some people

consider that they could be a playoff team and the chiefs got through, I think a little adversity in the first

half and it was a lot of field goals and instead of touchdown to which I know people will be upset about but you put them together and you're able to have more points the other team that's all that matter.

Yeah, it's, you know, the first half kind of felt pretty similar to what we've come to expect

from this Kansas City Chiefs team, but in the second, they get things going on defense and it seemed like the offense finally took a step forward where, you know, it was Isaiah Pacheco having a career performance and then Patrick Mahomes finally connecting on some deep shots had a big

41 yard game to Justin Watson and then the longest play of the chief season a 67 yard connection to Rishi Rice.

It finally felt like just some positive steps

for the chief's offense on Sunday

that fans should really feel good about.

Yeah, I just think it's a different team when Isaiah Pacheco is healthy and in a rhythm and playing well and you're seeing
