I die to the law that I might belong, have a relationship with, belong, belong to another, to him who's raised from the dead.

So he's alive. I'm not belonging to a memory.

A living person in this room right now by his spirit, listening to me, able to understand

me, knowing your mind through and through, we belong to him.

episode of Light and Truth, John Piper turns to Romans 12 to help us step into the

life of love that comes from Union with Christ.

We're done with Romans 12, and we are moving now to chapter 13.

And here's the way we're going to do it as God gives us help.

We're going to start in the middle at verses 8 to 10.

Say some brief words there about that paragraph.

Going to go to the last paragraph, 11 to the end, brief words there, and then end on this institution of government and the whole issue of its authority and its limits, the limits of its authority.

So verses 7 to 10.

Let's read it first.

O no one anything except to love one another for by for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law the commandments

you shall not commit adultery you shall not murder you shall not steal you shall not covet and any other

commandment are summed up in this word, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Love does no wrong to a neighbor, therefore love is a fulfilling of the law.

So love is clearly the dominant theme of that paragraph.
