The floorboards have become temperamental.

Normally I would greet you with today's lot, but I'm afraid the antiquarium is in a state of temporary disarray. A small disagreement between the artifacts

and cabinet seven. They're sorting it out amongst themselves. But until they reach a consensus,

I mustn't open the case again. Rest assured, the shop remains open. and our proper work will resume very soon.

But while the shelves settle, I do have something else for you.

Some colleagues of mine, members of a certain covert organization known only in whispers as

the redacted unit, have set over one of their field records.

They operate adjacent to us, you might say, cleaning up the sort of creatures and phenomena

that slip through the cracks, we'd rather remain sealed.

Their newest operative, Jacob Cain, has found himself drawn into their world under less than

ideal circumstances.

A twin lost, an identity borrowed, and a baptism by fire into a catalog of beings they call aberrations.
