You know, there's this animal that lives in my house. It lives there because I let it live there.

I guess it's a she really. Her name is Lucy. She's still an animal though.

She's the first dog I've ever had as an adult and because of that maybe I'm a little cynical of her motives to be honest.

We got Lucy from a pet rescue place so

she owes me her life. She's a small mutt but she could pass for a scruffy multi-poopoo if she had to.

Well, somewhere in her life, Lucy figured out that if she sits and stares at someone long enough,

good things will happen.

She'll get treats, she'll get petting and attention,

she gets walks.

I don't think she intellectually understands
