Summary

Come learn more about the true nature of Catholic vocations and the awe-inspiring responsibility we all share in continuing and propagating the One True Faith. While young men and women answer the call to become the next generation of frontline religious and clergy, their formation begins in Catholic homes and is completed in Catholic schools.

What is the SSPX Podcast?

The SSPX Podcast is produced by Angelus Press, which has as its mission the fortification of traditional Catholics so that they can defend the Faith, and reaching out to those who have not yet found Tradition.  – – – – – –

What is the SSPX?

The main goal of the Society of Saint Pius X is to preserve the Catholic Faith in its fullness and purity, to teach its truths, and to diffuse its virtues, especially through the Roman Catholic priesthood. Authentic spiritual life, the sacraments, and the traditional liturgy are its primary means of bringing this life of grace to souls. Although the traditional Latin Mass is the most visible and public expression of the work of the Society, we are committed to defending Catholic Tradition in its entirety: all of Catholic doctrine and morals as the Church has always defended them. What people need is the Catholic Faith, without compromise, with all the truth and beauty which accompanies it. https://sspx.org

Good. I'm doing fine. Thank you. We are approaching quickly the Angeles Press conference

0:22.3

for Catholic tradition that is coming up here in Kansas City in October and wanted to chat with

0:29.3

you specifically about this because this year's theme is on vocations and you are the vocations

0:33.8

director for the U.S. district. So could we talk a little bit about why I would presume that the planners of the conference at

0:42.4

Angeles Press have talked with you and said, hey, this is important.

0:46.1

This is why we're doing this conference.

0:48.8

Right.

0:49.3

Well, this year, the Jubilee year, for the whole society, our superior general, Father

0:58.5

Palirani has asked us to emphasize vocations, preaching about it, encouraging vocations,

1:04.5

giving conferences, writing, et cetera, any way that we can this year in particular to bring that and this idea of vocations to the to the forefront,

1:14.8

to the into the minds of people and to get them thinking about it, praying for vocations and

1:20.2

doing what we can to encourage the pursuit of vocations.

1:27.3

We are facing, I think it's fair to say, a pretty stark crisis in the number of vocations.

1:35.3

There are different studies, different numbers.

1:36.8

We've done some stories on this on FSSPX. News recently, where in England, in the United

1:42.3

States, it seems to be that there's a slight uptick, but essentially

1:46.1

broadly, and even including the United States, if we look at the last 30, 40, 50 years,

1:51.2

there has been a plummeting of vocations. Is this, is this the bigger crisis or is it the

1:58.9

crisis in belief? Like, how does this compare in terms of kind of all the different crises that we're

2:03.0

facing in the church right now?
