Well, good morning, everybody, and thank you for joining us. I'm Father Chris here at the

National Shrine of the Divine Mercy for a special edition of explaining the faith. This is an

excellent opportunity for me to talk about something I've never done on a Saturday talk before,

and it really surprised me. We have now over close to 250 talks in our explaining the face series,

and I was sure I had done the ascension,

and I realized never had I done the ascension on a Saturday talk.

So we're going to do that today, and I have to say this, though. You might say,

well, Father, you've talked about it in other times. Well, actually, I've never talked about

something specific. And the ascension has to do with the angels. And that's very interesting.

We don't think about that. We don't know about that.

But I'm going to go back to the church fathers

and show you something really amazing about the ascension.

So let us begin in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Heavenly Father, we ask you send the Holy Spirit down upon us to open our minds and hearts

to receive the grace you wish to bestow. The grace to lead us all to eternal life.

And through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary, St. Faustina, and all the saints,

may Almighty God bring us through the passion,

death, and resurrection and ascension of your son to heavenly glory. We ask this through Christ,
