How has Dynasty Fantasy Football changed?

In the last 20 years, that more this week on the couch, fellow OG, Ryan McDowell, Dynasty League football.

We've seen a lot in 20 years how has dynasty fantasy football changed

well i mean it's it's really a question of how the NFL has changed over the last 20 years uh you

know there's there's always going to be a lot of parallels with,

with those two games, obviously. I think what we're really seeing lately in Dynasty is it's become a

more of a pure game the last, let's say, two to three years.

It reminds me of what it was at the very beginning,

or at least the very beginning of my experience.

You know, Dynasty kind of got saturated with everybody,

everybody playing it along the way. And we saw a variety of strategies.

We saw a variety of strategies. We saw a variety of, um, uh, just approaches to the game

because in the in the off season months, that's kind of all there was, right? And talking rookies

and analyzing the draft and doing as many startup drafts as you could without thinking about what that would,

you know, what that would put on your plate in October, November.

That's how it was for at least a decade.

And now I think we're losing that with the popularity, continued growing popularity of

best ball and in that format and that format kind of,

kind of taking some players from dynasty, uh, in some ways it feels like a negative, but to me,

it's, it's the pure game again.

I like that you call it the pure game because, you know, fantasy football, one of the things I always like to say, Ryan, is like, let's remember why we play fantasy football because we've watched football and maybe we watch the coach call plays or we've watched the draft and we thought or we saw how teams handled

their free agency bucks and we thought I could do better you know they this team should be playing
