In November 1974, in the town of Amityville, New York, Ronald DeFaio Jr., murdered six members

of his family in their home at 112 Ocean Avenue. Just over a year later,

in December, 1975, the family of George and Kathy Lutz moved into the same house. But they didn't

remain long. Just 28 days later, the Lutz's fled the house, reporting a strange series of frightening and paranormal experiences.

In 1977, J. Anson published the Amityville Horror, a book about their experiences.
