so I've been reporting on women in the workplace and specifically their experiences around career and money for over a decade.

And during that time, I heard the things that all of us hear, that women are really struggling to be paid fairly or get ahead or build wealth because they aren't confident enough or assertive or asking for it.

They're not willing to take risk. They have a confidence problem. And as I was reporting,

I just never saw those kinds of myths being demonstrated in the stories that I was hearing.
