Summary

In the latest episode of Film Stories with Simon Brew, two films from the 2010s that were faced with very different challenges. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 had to carry the baggage of seeding several other films, whilst juggling high studio expectations. Plus, a very taxing New York shoot. With Brotherhood, in spite of its two predecessors being profitable hits, it was still a struggle to get funding. But a low key trailer release proved a turning point. Stories of both are discussed in this episode. Find Simon on Twitter at @simonbrew, and the podcast can be found at @filmstoriespod. You can find the Film Stories website here.
