But first, in 1960, a man named Harold von Braunhot began marketing

mail-order pets that became known as sea monkeys. You could hatch them with ordinary tap water

and keep them in a glass or an aquarium. They were advertised in comic books with compelling

artwork. They were billed as delightful, playful little

creatures that the whole family would marvel at. And Jimmy himself had sea monkeys as a kid.

But the sea monkeys are connected to a series of disappointing revelations, some of which are

really wild. So who was Harold von Braun Hut? What are sea monkeys? And what are the disappointing

revelations they're connected with? That's what we'll be talking about on this episode of Jimmy

Aiken's mysterious world. So Jimmy, where does our mystery begin today? Well, it begins with my

childhood, but it's going to go to some really weird places.
