Okay, today we've got a really cool conversation for you. Alpenflow

design has spent nearly six years developing their flagship hybrid binding, the Alpenflow

89. And that binding is going to be available this fall. Now, Alpenflow's story is a really interesting one,

and we will include in the show notes a link to our previous conversations with AlpenFlo,

where you are going to get to hear about the challenges of starting a binding company today from scratch.

But here on Gear 30 today, we are going to really be focused on this particular hybrid

binding from Alpinflow.

And I'm talking with Alpinflow co-founder Stephen Wall about the lengthy development process

of this binding.

And then we are going to compare and contrast the

Alpenflow 89 to all of the major players in the hybrid binding space, so that, of course,

includes products like the marker kingpin, the marker Duke PT, the Solomon Shift 2.0, and on and on.

And the result of this is that I think we provide a really, really good overview of this entire 50-50 category of ski bindings.
