You are our go-to woman about train travel, I'm going to say, in the simplest, plainest terms.

You have a new book coming out later this year in November, correct?

Yes, I have, yes.

Called Moonlight Express, Around the World by Night Train, a mode of transport that I love and romanticise.

In that book, you say you've travelled on over 200 train journeys for over 15 years.

That's an unbelievable amount of trains. What's the reason for this?

I was going to say a passion, but it really seems a little bit more of an obsession.

It's an obsession and a lifestyle now, actually, if I'm really honest.

It's funny that you bring up that particular sentence because when I sat there tried to calculate

what it was, I knew immediately that it was at least 160 because I did around India in 80

trains, and that was back in 2010, and then around the world in 80 trains back in 2015,

so that was already 160. And then I came to do, I mean, I really started the travels
