0:53.9	Thank you for having me. Well, thank you for being here. And for those of you that don't know Dr. Cochiola, she's been on our show before a couple of times. She is a course of control expert and educator, an L-C-S-W, a DSW. She's a researcher, a survivor. She's an advocate since the age of 19.
1:16.3	She's passionate about protecting children from abuse. And, you know, when I think of coercive
1:23.8	control, I've spoken to Evan Stark. You've learned under Evan Stark and he had nothing
1:29.2	but glowing things to say about you when I spoke to him. And you've been my educator about coercive
1:37.0	control and things that I've learned about coercive control. I've tried to start thinking about everything, you know, because narcissistic abuse
1:48.1	was the buzzword when I began. My show's called Narcissist Apocalypse. That's how people find me.
1:55.1	And then I realized, oh, this is domestic violence. And now I'm in the space of, no, this is all coercive control.
2:02.7	Oh, I love that you just said that.
2:04.5	It is.
2:05.1	And I knew you would be happy with me saying that.
2:11.2	And I'm kind of in this spot where I want to promote that word as much as possible, that term as much
2:21.4	as possible. So people start thinking of coercive control over domestic violence, over domestic
2:29.6	abuse, over narcissistic abuse because it encompasses everything.
2:36.3	And to me, it's a far better educational tool than those other terms.
2:44.3	Those other terms don't, you know, people are afraid of those terms, in my opinion.
