Welcome back to the Adam Schaefter podcast as we head out of the conference championship games.

And on to Super Bowl 58 and Las Vegas and the matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

And who better to join this podcast than the man that this Super Bowl is about, the man

that is more tied to both teams than any other, Alex Smith, who played seven years for San Francisco before being traded to the Chiefs,

where he played for five years. He lives in the Bay Area, knows all the former 49ers. He was

the former number one overall pick compared and contrasted to the last pick in the draft,

Brock Purdy.

And Alex is close with Andy Reed and Patrick Holmes,

and has tremendous insight into what's ahead in Super Bowl 58.

And I was a little surprised at some of his thoughts. And we also will be joined by a man connected to both San Francisco and

Las Vegas. And that is the celebrity chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, Michael Mina,

who owns 42 restaurants across the country, seven in Las Vegas, and is a huge 49ers game and was in

attendance on Sunday for the NFC Conference Championship game victory over the Detroit Lions,

and he will be in attendance at Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas, his other homeway from home of San Francisco for the

big 49ers chiefs matchup in Super Bowl 58.

And with that, we now will turn to my friend, my colleague, the great Lions fan and co-host
