Welcome to the latest episode of the agenda podcast here on the Blood Red channel with

myself Guy Clark and Matt Addison and one year on from Tiago Alpentara signing

for Liverpool the same day of course as Diogo Jota.

But we're going to focus on the Spaniard assess his Liverpool career today and see just how good he has been for the Reds.

Of course there was so much fanfare over his arrival from

Byron Munich this time last year and Matt I suppose the first question has to be

has he lived up to the height? Not quite, I don't think.

I think there's a variety of reasons that I think we'll go through that

maybe explain why that is.

I don't think we've seen the best of him yet. I don't think he's been

you know horrendous or bad by any stretch of the imagination but I do think there's there's a lot more to come

as I say there's a variety of reasons explaining why that is but the bottom line is I still think he's a fantastic

world-class footballer. He's an upgrade for me on Genie-Wine-Elden which it appears is the man that he was designed to replace and I think as long as he stays relatively injury free as much as he can this season.

I think we are going to see eventually, you know, what he can do and it might be you know that you know games like this

weekends are not the ones where he stands out and it might be you know a latter end of

the Champions League or something like that that really you sort of stand out and

see him and notice him doing what he does best but he's not quite

done it yet but I'm still confident that he will do at some point hopefully hopefully this season.

I have to say I've been one of those who I haven't been bowled over by him since he arrived at Anfield but funny you should say kind of this weekend's game with Crystal Palace isn't the kind of

game he'd shine because
