Champions League group phase. I'm Guy Clark. Welcome to the agenda as we bring new reaction to Liverpool's group for the 2020-21 Champions

League alongside me, Matt Addison as we divulge the information that has literally just come out of the draw groups and yeah

Matt as I say Iax at Atlanta and mid yoland those are three sides that this year

Liverpool have to get past to make it through to the knockout stage of the Champions League.

Yeah, it's a really interesting draw isn't it?

Obviously we're going to go into so much more depth but the sort of immediate reaction I think the most important thing for

Yurken clop and for Liverpool is that they will get through this group I think

without too much of an issue obviously at a land they're very much impressive in

last season's champions league they've been very, very well indeed over in Italy and

you know the other two teams in the group obviously IACs come with the sort of historical thing of it being IACs and it being a trip over you know, one of the biggest clubs in the world.

But again, you'd imagine that Liverpool will have enough to get through and beat them both

home and away if necessary.

So, yeah, for Liverpool, I suppose it's a case as ever they need to get through the group as quickly as possible but that's especially important this season because if they could say you know sit out match day six and sort of already know that they're

top of the group for example which I don't think is completely

unrealistic given the teams they're going to play against. Potentially that could

be a big boost for them, you know, at what is going to be at a very busy time

especially busy because of you know the fixture congestion that we know is to come yeah there is going to be a lot of

fixture congestion coming up and on that point I suppose as well

very important for Liverpool that really they haven't got any long journeys to make
