Summary

Nine years ago this weekend, just days after FSG’s takeover, Liverpool lost the Merseyside derby at Everton to slip to 19th in the Premier League table under Roy Hodgson. Fast-forward to the present day and Jurgen Klopp will take his Red Machine to Liverpool’s other great rivals, Manchester United, on Sunday as European champions and one win away from making it a Premier League record of 18 victories on the run. And it’s against that backdrop that the latest episode of The Agenda is recorded. Featuring Dan Austin and Joel Rabinowitz of Liverpool.com, they look back at the club’s remarkable transformation under FSG, but also the things the American owners have got wrong, and why they have learned from the mistakes that have blighted other clubs, including this weekend's opponents United.
