Hi, folks. I thought we'd have a quick discussion about just the state of the country as it is at the

moment, because it's very clear to everyone that things are going wrong, but the people who are in

charge of the country and the various layers of political management, the local councils, the media,

the academics,

that there's a general sense that this has all gotten away from everyone and that they don't know what to do. And so the answers that they present to us are just more of the same.

This is morally the right thing to do. and therefore we're going to continue doing it.

And well, we just got to hope we can keep the lid on the pressure cooker, because otherwise

things go horribly, horribly wrong.

The problem that they have is that the pressure is building quite high, and it looks like

the lid isn't going to be kept on the pressure cooker.

And so we have to go back to the original assumptions that built the society we currently

have, the values that we're told of British values that made this society, the brilliant

society that is, and ask ourselves whether there have been any mistaken assumptions, perhaps,

at the bottom of them.

And so we live in what I'm going to call a social contract society.

Now, we don't have a social contract.

You might be thinking of the United States with their constitution.

That is a social contract society that has a social contract.

France is a social contract society, or at least a society masquerading as a social contract society that has a social contract. France is a social contract

for good or for real. We don't have that. You don't have a list of enumerated rights in a document
