guest expert Dr. Brenna Wynne Greer. Dr. Greer is an associate professor of history at Wellesley

College. She is a historian of race, gender, and culture in the

20th century United States. Her work focuses on the historical connections between capitalism,

social movements, the media and visual culture. Her first book, represented the black image

makers who reimagined AfricanAmerican citizenship, was the recipient of the 2020 Harry Shaw and Katrina Hazard Donald Award for Outstanding Work in African American Popular Culture Studies.

Dr. Greer is currently at work on her second book, Issues of Color.
