Professor Susan Doran is a British historian who's primary studies

around the reign of Elizabeth I,

in particular the theme of marriage and succession.

She has published and edited 16 books, notably Elizabeth I and her circle.

She has also recently edited the catalog of a major exhibition

at the British Library called Elizabeth and Mary Royal Cousins and Rival Queens.
