Hello. Hello and welcome to Spycast from the Secret Files of the International Spy Museum in Washington,

D.C. I'm Peter Ernest, the Executive Director of the Museum. I served for

some 36 years in the Central Intelligence Agency, largely as what is called an

operations officer or a case officer.

Every month we'll be bringing you interesting talks

with visitors, with authors, with others who

have something to do with the world of intelligence

and espionage.

We have the extraordinary privilege today of being able to interview an individual

has been involved in dealing with the terrorism and terrorist activities,

counterterrorism and so forth over the past almost 30 years now.

Malcolm Nance, a name some of you may know from our he has spoken here on two occasions.

He's written three books including one called An End to Al Qaeda.

He has highly experienced, spent some 26 years in naval intelligence, and he is considered

a counter-terrorism and terrorism expert. And as such, he's a consultant and has been to Special Operations Command, Department of Homeland

Security, and a number of the US intelligence agencies.

He has served in his consulting capacity

and in his active duty capacity

in both the Balkans, sub-Saharan Africa the Middle East Afghanistan and Iraq and in in

in 2001 following the the events of 9-11, he formed Special Readiness Services International, his own consulting

company, and began consulting with the special operating forces.
