the program for the very first time Dr. Todd Bourne. I met Dr.

Bourne at an academic meeting and he gave a terrific lecture on attention, deficit,

hyperactivity disorder, ADHD. So I wanted to bring on the program and really just, you

know, highlight what he's learned about this now very common disorder in children and some

practical approaches. Dr. Borg, welcome to the program.

Sure. Thank you, Dr. I'm color for inviting me. So yeah, I've been in practice for 16 years

and I see a lot of, you know, patients that get referred to be, you know, adolescents, young children,

even adults with ADHD and in various, you know, to me, you know, adolescents, young children, even adults with ADHD

and various, you know, mixed type, you know, and then of course the comorbidities that come along

with that anxiety and depression and insomnia and there's conduct disorder, oppositional

defiant disorder, whether DSM-5 classification you want to assign to it.

But most children are being brought to me because of a huge handful of things.

One, there is some pressure in the school to medicate the child, you know, to get them to be

able to focus and pay attention and be less disruptive.

And they either want to try alternatives to the medication since they, you know,

I'm not anti-medication, time and place for everything.

But they're not certainly without their side effects.
