In the Adam Project, Ryan Reynolds is a pilot from the future who goes back in time to

the present day, where he enlists the 8 of his 12-year-old self to save the timeline

and whatnot.

As you'd expect, there's plenty of time, trippy action, set pieces, but there's an

element of sadness to the film as well.

As Reynolds' character looks back with regret, at the jerky kid he used to be.

Tossin' small roles for Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo as Adam's parents.

And he got yourself a 13-going-on-30-mini reunion as well.

happening, but he doesn't go back quite far enough.

He taps his 12-year-old self, played by Walker Scobel, to help him fix his time ship.

There's a lot of banter between the two, and it quickly becomes clear that adult Adam

isn't on great terms with his younger self.
