Would that it were so simple as just like picking a policy

and executing it?

You know, we've had people say like,

oh, just close the dang border, like, okay,

so there's a policy and you can try to execute it

and it sort of never happens,

so you just keep saying it and at least I'm saying

the right words, and then you got folks on the other side

who are like, well, you know, no,

we're just like, let him let him in and okay,

we did that and now what do we do?

Well, just keep laying them in.

Well, but why?

And then there's, you know,

well, we have a moral obligation to do so

and that just opens up onto a whole new vista of

of strangeness or it's the practical argument.

Well, you know, we need people to do these jobs.

We've got all these jobs and, you know,

we're not gonna have economic growth

unless we flood the zone with quote unquote newcomers.
