Hi everybody, this is Gat Sad, just returned last night from a trip to Mar-a-Lago.

I'll have more to say about this at some point soon, but for now I wanted to briefly wait in on the Daniel Penny acquittal.

This is one instance where suicidal empathy has failed.

Thank God for that.

Heroism is something that is desired by women in their men.

You want to fantasize about men who will take great risks to save those around them, who are bold in the face of

threats, who are willing to stand up and protect weaker people. That's the stuff of our evolutionary

history. There are countless studies that look at what are the types of traits that women seek in a man and

there is no culture that I'm aware of where women have said we are really excited about having

sex with pear-shaped high-pitched nasal voiced cow, that will get our libidinal drives going.

And so when you have a society that is perfectly empathetic to a guy who is causing

great amount of strain to daily subway passengers who had been arrested many, many times by the police,

and who now had walked in and said, you know, I'm going to kill someone and was threatening

everybody.

And then a Marine decides to stand up and subdue that risk.

This is something that you should be celebrating

and rewarding, not deciding that you're going to punish him. So imagine if throughout all of

history, people decided to look away in complete apathy and cowardice

when something wrong was being done. We'd have a very different world. So this is something

that, of course, I discuss in my forthcoming book, Suicidal Empathy, but I'm delighted that even though I might

discuss this case, this is one instance where reason has won, where masculinity has won, where

honor, and the willingness to get involved to protect those around you has won and I'm delighted that
