Welcome to Sky Talkers. Here are your hosts, Charlotte and Caitlin. Hello and welcome to Sky Talkers. I'm your host, Charlotte.

0:25.0

Hey, everyone. I'm your other host, Caitlin. And welcome to this week's episode of Sky Talkers,

0:29.4

where we're talking all about the Acolyte, Episode 3, Destiny. And things are cooking.

0:35.6

Things are cooking right along with the Acolyte. And I'm very pumped

0:39.4

to be back talking about the latest installment. So this episode aired on June 11th,

0:44.3

2024, directed by Cogonada. And it's written by Jasmine Flourney and Eileen Shim. Something to

0:51.8

note is that we have a writer's room with Ackleit. Some of the other Star Wars shows, we do not.

0:56.0

Leslie Headlin is still showrunner, but what that means is that we get a lot of different headwriters per episode, which is very cool. It's very fun. So I wanted to extend a welcome back to any new listeners or welcome to the show, if it's your first time listening. We're Charlotte and Caitlin. We love Star Wars and

1:12.0

we are so excited to be talking about the accolade. We've talked about every single Star Wars show that

1:16.1

has aired on Disney Plus. And we talk about themes and characters and so much. We dive deep. So

1:23.7

welcome to Sky Talkers if this is your first time or if you're brand new. Yes, welcome, welcome. I'm really

1:29.7

excited to talk about this episode because Cocoa Nato was one of the directors that I was really

1:34.2

excited to see his episodes because he directed this movie called Columbus that I am so obsessed with.

1:42.3

It's like it takes place in Columbus, Indiana, I think, but it's like an

1:46.1

architecture film, which I'm an architectural historian. And it's just, it's beautifully shot.

1:51.6

He's a very visual director. That's the only thing of his I've watched, but reading up on other

1:55.7

work that he's done. And the movie Columbus was beautifully shot and really, like, emphasized the architecture and

2:02.4

environments of that city.

2:04.6

And anyway, I love that movie and think about it a lot.

2:07.4

So I was super excited to see him signed on to the Acolyte.

2:11.4

And I was really excited to see what his kind of perspective and vision would bring to the show.

2:15.8

And it did not disappoint in this episode.
