Summary

Liverpool played an internal 11-vs-11 friendly match in Kirkby at weekend with Mateusz Musialowski and Kaide Gordon among the youngsters to impress. So Matt Addison joins Guy Clarke to give Reds fans the lowdown on the starlets who featured, including Billy Koumetio, James Balagizi and Tyler Morton, as well as Ben Woodburn, who hit a hat-trick and is now back at the club after his loan spell at Neil Critchley’s Blackpool ended. 0:00.0	Hello and welcome to the Academy show here on the Blood Red channel. I'm Guy Clark, Matt Addison alongside me as we get set to take a look in on how Liverpool's youngsters are getting on. We'll check in on the behind closed doors game as Jörgen-Clop got a
0:15.1	chance to check in on a few of the youthful faces at Kirby. We'll see how the age groups are getting on,
0:20.9	both the under 23s and under-18 and also bring you our one to watch as ever.
0:26.7	As I say, Matt Addison alongside myself Guy Clark and Matt will start with the behind closed doors game.
0:33.2	And obviously Liverpool in this sort of period during the international break or even
0:37.3	before it with FA Cup weekend of not having a game.
0:40.3	So they put on this behind closed doors intra squad friendly and well for the
0:45.6	youngsters it was a great chance to get in front of Yergen club wasn't it?
0:49.8	Yeah exactly that we saw Yergen Clop was watching on from his office.
0:52.9	There was a few members of staff around one of the members of staff was refereeing the game
0:57.4	and it's just an opportunity, I think, to get a look at a few of these youngsters.

1:04.4	course who is that sort of bridge between the academy sides and and the first team
1:08.3	similar to what pet liners used to do for them it's it's important to not just have that link in terms of him coming
1:14.5	back and going, oh yes, Mathius Musilovsky or whoever it might be is is impressing.
1:18.8	The open clock can actually get those players in front of him and have a real good look at them.
1:23.2	So yeah, it was a hugely exciting prospect, I'm sure, for a lot of those youngsters.

1:37.0	to impress Yoken Clarkman and all of his staff and you do have to take them and I

1:44.4	impressing those first team players there was a fair few first teamers who are not going away
