0:08.0	Hello and welcome to the Academy Show here on the Blood Red channel as we look back on the end of the
0:14.6	season. I'm Guy Clark, Matt Addison alongside me. Last time we were speaking, we
0:19.0	were looking forward to the FA Youth Cup final unfortunately.
0:23.0	Liverpool didn't come away with the cup on that occasion, but we've still plenty to get through.
0:28.0	We'll have a bit of a look back on that.
0:30.0	We'll talk through the campaigns for both the under 23s and the under 18s as well as handing out our
0:34.8	awards for each position and looking ahead even towards next season.
0:40.0	As I say, Matt Addison is here with me and Matt the FA Youth Cup we had such expectations for it
0:46.5	didn't quite go to plan in the end. No not quite it probably wasn't the best performance
0:51.2	well it definitely wasn't the best performance we've seen from them to be perfectly honest and
0:55.4	Liverpool didn't quite do themselves justice in terms of the result I thought I
0:59.8	mean they went to know down within about 12 or 13 minutes but after that they did kind of
1:04.0	improvement and pick up but it's just a little bit too late I think the fact that
1:08.2	Aston Villa had a crowd in there there was about 4,700 Villa fans in there cheering their players on and I think we always thought that that might count against
1:16.2	Liverpool to an extent and obviously Villa have one or two exceptional young players as well.
1:20.8	So it was, yeah, it was one of those I think to one probably was just
1:24.8	about right I think Villa basically just kept Liverpool at arm's length for
1:28.4	the majority of that game and yeah it was it was unfortunate it's been a good
1:32.3	run through to the final but but the fact that they couldn't quite get over the line and get that trophy in the cabinet. It's a bit of a shame, but I'm sure all of the Liverpool players will have learned quite a lot from that nonetheless.
1:44.0	Yeah, no definitely there are a number of standout performers from Aston Villa as well and even
1:49.1	Liverpool though but I suppose even looking trying to get sort of positives from it.
