It's the AJ Brown Ac Brown acquisition episode. You've been

waiting for it for months. A.J. Brown officially traded to the Patriots in return. The Patriots

will send a 2028 first round pick and a fifth round pick back to the Eagles. Phil, it's a good move.

They're getting a disgruntled receiver who is constantly over 1,000 yards. That receiver is going to be the best receiver on their team for a

rookie quarterback, excuse me, a quarterback on his rookie contract who excels at throwing the ball

down the field in a wide open AFC,

the Patriots are taking the big swing they should.

And they're giving up what would be this 2028 first rounder, a guy who maybe by 2030 would be a good player optimally.

Maybe not.

And in exchange, they're going to get two years for $50 million out of A.J. Brown.

29 this year.

It'll be 21 next year.

He has $4 million guaranteed.

And they were talking about, okay, well, he signed through

2029 and is a $31 million, it's two years and 50, and then start there. But I think it makes

total sense for the position they're in. I disagree with you on that. But there are reasons

I like the trade, and I'll tell you why I like it first. I like it because it shows some urgency. How many times have we brought up that word on this podcast, and we've been saying they need to show it? They're not showing enough of it. There are things out there that they could be doing to help them win and win at a really high level. And it feels like they're just okay to watch the ship sail on by.

So they're not doing that in this instance.
