So the lead story on 60 minutes last night was about the whole homeless situation and it was about the homeless

situation is also about the care court which is an interesting idea and I'm and

needs to be discussed a sea to shining sea dealing with mental illness in this country that's definitely a big problem

I was gonna like put that off to a little bit later and focus this particular go-round

on the fact that Gavin Newsom the governor of California which was featured a lot on

60 minutes last night it's clearly running for president and and and just the

way he positioned things but this is the way 60 minutes opened which really

annoyed me.

On any given night, more than 170,000 people are living on California streets or in its shelters.

It's the largest homeless population in the country, fueled by a lack of affordable

housing and the state's failure to provide adequate mental health care.
